Special Admission Procedure
The Maarif Hungarian-English Bilingual Primary and High School announces a special admission procedure for students who have either not been admitted to any secondary school or wish to modify their previous application intentions.
Applications must be submitted individually for the following academic programmes:
5-Year (1+4) High School Programmes
5001 – Hungarian – English bilingual programme with a one-year language preparatory course followed by four years of secondary education.
The second foreign language is either Spanish or Turkish. From the second academic year onwards, the following subjects are taught in English: Civilization, History, Geography, Biology, IT and PE.
Number of available places: 15
4-Year High School Programmes
5002 – Hungarian – English bilingual programme without a preparatory year. The following subjects are taught in English: Civilization, History, Geography, Biology, IT and PE. The second foreign language is either Spanish or Turkish. A minimum B1 level of English is required for admission to this programme.
Number of available places: 11
Admission decisions will be based on academic performance (end-of-year results from Grade 7 and first term results from Grade 8) and the results of the central written entrance exams in Hungarian language and mathematics.
The evaluated subjects from the primary school record are: Hungarian language and literature, mathematics, history, a foreign language, and one subject from the natural sciences.
