MAARIF HUNGARIAN–ENGLISH BILINGUAL PRIMARY AND HIGH SCHOOL

ADMISSION INFORMATION

Application for the 2026/2027 Academic Year

The Maarif Hungarian–English Bilingual Primary and High School, maintained by the Turkish Maarif Foundation, is an international institution located in Budapest. Since 2025, education has been taking place in our beautifully renovated, 120-year-old school building, offering a modern and inspiring learning environment.

Our goal is to equip students with high-level linguistic, scientific and digital competences, as well as 21st-century skills. We emphasize value-based education, intercultural understanding, cooperation and open-mindedness. The school promotes Turkish–Hungarian cultural relations and the knowledge of Turkish language and culture. Learning Turkish is compulsory: in primary school it is taught in a playful club format, and in secondary school as a second foreign language. Spanish can be chosen as a third foreign language.

Experience-based learning is supported by three science laboratories, a robotics and STEM classroom and modern digital facilities.

  • For other students, Turkish is assessed descriptively, while they must obtain a grade in Spanish.
